Oh Mr. Sandman...

Oh Mr. Sandman...
 Before Elliot's first birthday party.
A frequent sight from mom and dad's perspective "If you pick me up, I'll give you a hug..."  Very hard to resist!!
 Madeleine has become quite outspoken.
Easter egg hunt with Rosie and Dottie's eggs.
Eggs with socks are a delicacy.  She definitely has an affinity for carrying around socks.
On mom's birthday (we won't say which one).
Our wonderful housemate left us recently :( .  Madeleine was *facinated* by him (or his beard).

Grownups have their newspapers, Madeleine has her own potty time reading.
 ...the way I'm disco dancing!
 Tulip festival was beautiful
But someone was missing her nap in a warm bed.

Walking with Assistance

Madeleine is one step closer to walking.

Dave, Madeleine (and the hat I knit for her, mom) ready to go for the bedtime walk.

Spring Flowers

 Madeleine in the flowers.
Madeleine in the flowers...
Madeleine didn't want to be in the flowers.

Not Madeleine, but still cute:

Advanced Crawl 201

Madeleine has begun walking on all fours (hands and feet) when she doesn't want to put her knees down on surfaces such as grass or the metal grates for the heating in our floor.  This is the way she stalks Dottie so she can 'pet' her.  Madeleine also likes to pick Dandelions.

Picnics in Portland

 She's got my posture!
The chickens are remarkably patient with her!

In the backyard with the new hat from GroBmutti.  She found quite a few new things she'd like to eat.  Many of them involved dirt.
And who wouldn't be so happy with a great dad like she has.
Classic "sleeping baby".  I *love* watching her sleep.
 Love it.
And watching her wake up is pretty great, too.
Dottie and Madeleine compete for the wheat berries intended to lure Dottie closer.  Dottie's not shy when it comes to food.  Madeleine also has a taste for dry leaves - a pleasant crunch in your mouth.
