The other weekend Andrea and I took advantage of a weekend in town to visit one of the local scenic landmarks, Tunnel Beach. It's a cute little beach that, during the New Zealand gold rush, one of the daughters of a wealthy local family decided to have her wedding here. So they cut a tunnel through the cliff down to the beach. Drea and I brought along a picnic lunch and stayed on the beach for a few hours enjoying the sun and surf.
